Collection: Eclogite

Transformation, Strength, Balance

Eclogite is a fascinating rock composed primarily of the minerals omphacite (a type of pyroxene) and garnet. It forms under extremely high pressure and moderate to high temperatures, typically in the Earth's mantle or during subduction when oceanic crust is forced deep into the mantle.

Eclogite is typically dense and compact, with a distinctive greenish to bluish color from omphacite, and red to pink garnets embedded within it. This striking combination gives eclogite a unique and attractive appearance.

Besides omphacite and garnet, eclogite may contain other minerals such as kyanite, rutile, and quartz. The precise composition can vary depending on the original rock from which it metamorphosed.

Due to its formation under intense pressure, eclogite is often considered a stone of transformation, helping individuals to adapt and thrive under challenging circumstances. It embodies strength and resilience, encouraging users to face their fears and emerge stronger.

The contrasting colors of eclogite’s components are thought to symbolize balance and harmony, making it a stone that promotes equilibrium between different aspects of life. Eclogite aids spiritual growth by helping users to connect with their inner strength and navigate through life’s challenges.
